Always Before Me by John Servant tells the story of two Priests who, even after going through so much suffering and pain, still adhered to God's teaching and still preach the gospel of the Lord, Jesus! They had endured the pain of having been cast aside by the justice system of men, but they turned to God and offer him prayers and seek his mercy. They, then also tried to get others to change their ways and turn to God, though their efforts might have proved useless to mere men, God was pleased with them.

The book touched on how a man can turn to God and offer him prayers, confess one's sins, ask him for forgiveness and seek his mercies, and one would be forgiven. It also stressed that, even though people have sinned against us, and we've suffered because of it, we should relate our suffering to that of the Lord, Jesus Christ, and we should see it as God's work and God's way of offering us his mercy. That we should pray even for people who have wronged us, who have done evil against us, we should seek God's mercy and forgiveness for them. It teaches us to seek God's mercy and forgiveness through the Mother of God, Mary, that even the worst of us can be forgiven if we repent.

However, the book also stressed the fact that even the best of men can be failed by the justice system placed by men, how few people who found themselves in power can decide to use that power to do evil under the guise that they are upholding the law, how people who have lost faith in God and place their faith in worldly things will do all in their power to uphold that faith, even though they know its morally wrong. It also discussed how people will do evil to other people who have done nothing against them and still won't try to seek forgiveness or repentance.

I will rate the book 3 out of 4 stars because it is professionally edited, has vivid texts, and I would recommend it to people. However, it lacked adequate backstory for some of its characters.

I would recommend it to people of the Christian faith and people of other faiths who don't mind reading Christian texts. But, most people who are not of the Christian faith may not like it. It also preaches against some societal values men have put in place therefore it might not sit well with some people.
