Lights... Camera... Action!
“If rejection makes us stronger, then I must be either Wonder Woman or I don’t actually exist,” Marnie laughed. The road from college to success, the struggles of the five people with varying degrees, trying to accomplish an impossible dream. Will they succeed or there's a dead end? Marnie Goldin goes through the difficult process of becoming a successful actress, and what happens to her and all the others? You will find out if you decide to read the book that I highly recommend.

The biggest appeal for me was that I always desired to be an actor. Perhaps one of the many reasons to choose Surviving Life As An Actor to read. I love those authors who consider someone their mentor and never stop learning, even though they are professional. Jerry a. Greenberg is one of them. He graduated from journalism (another similarity) He's an amazing parent, he lived along with his son Will Greenberg's struggle to become an actor, when he graduated from University of Southern California (USC) with a degree in acting and trying to make a place for himself in Hollywood. Yes the Industry is full of "Who knows who." And the connections matter, you should grab all the opportunities you can get. I loved the characters and fell in love with their traits. Each character has a specific personality that appeals to you to learn from them. I learned from not to give up, always look for the other end of the stick, to being consistent.

I will give this book 3 out of 4 stars. The story would have been better for me if there's more to it. Probably a second part, I desperately hope. I wanted to know a bit more about what they learned while they were in college, since that was the main reason people read Acting books. I especially enjoyed the part where their friendship is tested based on their respective situations. There is nothing not to like about this concept for five struggling actors trying to make it big. I found like barely two spelling errors in the book but that can't stop me from loving it. Therefore being my favorite. These are the kind of concepts people would love to hear more of. Actors, writers, how agents come into play, how connections help, life knowledge and implying it to reality. Now I have a headstart on how things are done in Acting and what you should be prepared for. When the book ended, I felt like I needed to know more about it. The amazing group of five wannabe actors and their struggles along with life on hold.

When a person dies, is there even a hole left for someone else to occupy or are we just absorbed into the atmosphere as if we were never here, to begin with? Sounds like a big enough reason to choose this book. Even being fiction, this book teaches you life lessons and that's rare for this genre. Since you just dive into the fantasy world and know it's not real. If you want to learn something, reach out for business books, but this norm ends here. I personally loved a few lines from the book so much and highlighted them to be quotes for life. I would love to read more of the acting genre and would love to discover more of Jerry a. Greenberg's work. And cut, that's a wrap.
