Dreams are to be lived, by Jerry A. Greenberg is a story centering on the importance of dreams. Dreams can make or mar a person but inability to pursue ones dreams can only break a person. Bobby, the main character has a dream but his father's disapproval restricts him from pursuing his dream. As a strategy, he decides to get closer to his father and get him to understand how much his dream means to him. A strategy that takes him on an unpredictable ride while uncovering dangerous secrets that might just reveal why his father is the way he is.

From the surface, it seems like any typical book out there and I'll admit I got bored in the first three chapters because of its slow paced plot. But then,right when I was least expecting, the book made sure to serve up a huge plot twist that drew me right back in.

Al, the main character's father is tormented by the dream he didn't get to live. This affects him in so many ways. His past choices and secrets come to haunt him, threatening to wreck his life and family apart.

A must read for all, because this book dives deeper than just dreams. It also explores the theme of past traumas and how they can affect ones proper functioning. At the end, this book only seem to endorse the fact that your dream needs to be lived. After all,You can't know whether or not a thing I'd made for you if don't try it.

I highly recommend this book. The beginning is a bit slow paced. If you can endure that, you will find the book is surely a gem. For the professional editing of the book, I will give a perfect score of 4/4.
