Let me just begin by saying this. While I can almost see where the author was going with this book, Dolphins Don't Run Marathons, it reads like more of a repetitive journal.

I have not seen a book with barely three whole sentences per page and without illustrations since I ready my kids bedtime stories many years ago, only this one is for grown ups, and not near as exciting. The same words are used repetitively and they are somewhat frustrating because they don't really make sense.

I would have stopped reading before the end, but with only a few sentences per page the end snuck up on me too quickly. Basically what i get from this book is an attempt to share some learned wisdom and telling of a personal story in a very peculiar way that is hard to follow.

While I applaud the author's intentions for this book, I give it one out of four stars because of the way it is written so short and it lacks depth. It reminds me of a child's book for adults with no pictures. While some might enjoy it for a quick read to pass time, this is not the book I would choose to take to bed or on an outing.

In closing, I thank the author for his book, and the opportunity to give feedback for constructive criticism, however, I did not enjoy this book. Others might, although I doubt most will.
