Cynthia and Dan: Cyber War by Dorothy May Mercer is the tenth book in a series of romances, and clean cops stories entitled "The McBride". It narrates the story of a secret investigators company that fights against terrorism through the Internet along with a love story in within.

Cynthia Patterson, who is chief security and bodyguard of Senator Mike McBride, gets into a love triangle after suddenly meeting and sexually engaging with Sky Eastman while still dating Dan MacIntyre. Now Cynthia has to make a decision between the two. Therefore things won't be easy for her. On the other hand, she also works as a chef investigator at her brother's (Glenn Patterson) company along with two college geniuses (Garth and Tim). And there they fight terrorist attacks on the Internet. However, they are forced to act quickly as soon as an unknown drone appears in the White House, leaving everybody in panic.

In the plot of this story, two conflicts are presented: in the first conflict, the characters that are part of the organization of secret investigators have to fight cyber terrorism and discover the reason why the strange drone that landed at the white house was sent. And in the second conflict, Cynthia has to make a decision regarding Sky and Dan to end the love triangle in which they are. And that makes this story very interesting since it becomes appropriate to people who enjoy suspense and action, but also to those who enjoy a good romance.

The characters and the storyline are really good, they were very well developed. Not to mention the dialogues that are very vivid. However, I didn't like the fact that the character "Sky Eastman" promoted abortion while he was a very religious character, that sounded hypocrisy to my eyes. Apart from that, I also thought that the comma was overused in the story, to the point that it confused me as I was reading the book. Furthermore, the book doesn't contain severe profanity instances. However, it does present scenes of explicit sex. For that reason, I don't recommend this book to readers who are younger than 18. But I do recommend to anyone who enjoys romance, suspense, and cop stories.

The book was well edited and written. I only found a few typos. Therefore, due to the overuse of comma and the few mistakes I found, I cannot give this book the maximum rate, so I rate this book with 3 out of 4 stars .
