Set in the late 19th century Old West, Rescued by E. Alan Fleischauer introduces the reader to John Thurgood Thomas, or J.T. as he is better known as. This cowboy-superhero gunslinging main character helps and rescues everyone finding themselves in a pickle. Always in the right place at the right time, J.T. rescues a group of women from bank robbers. It only seems befitting that he starts a romance with one of the women after the rescue as good Old Western novels require some sort of romantic air. Being such a busy man, finding an awe-inspiring cave chock-full of jewels adds for more excitement.

Surpassing excellence, this novel will capture the interest of Old West (literature) lovers and really anyone looking for a gripping and fascinating read. Fast-paced, adventurous and absolutely entertaining, this novel will engross the reader with twists and turns around every corner. Majestic characters, personalities and associations that kick butt adds credibility to the storyline. The strong female characters, which include a villain made my day! True to the nature of Old West novels, the reader is assured of finding foul characters to detest to their heart's content. History and fiction have been blended exceptionally well and the author did a fantastic job in describing the awesome settings. As Rescued is a rock-solid Old West novel, the author included necessary Old West elements such as bank robbers, bandits, alcohol, guns, women, romance and hidden treasure.

This is indeed a strikingly good old-fashioned Western novel. Easy to read and follow but difficult to put down! I absolutely loved this novel as it was invigorating and compelling. And yes, it is a flawlessly good read! One can appreciate the author depicting the harsh times in the Old West and the struggles of days gone by. Indeed a credible novel.

Rescued by E. Alan Fleischauer has been proofread and professionally edited. It is my conviction that this spectacular novel deserves a favorable rating and so I rate this novel 4 out of 4 stars. I am delighted that I will be able to catch up with J.T. in the follow-up novel, Hunted which promises to be just as good a read as Rescued. Mr.Fleischauer is indeed an exciting new author to keep an eye on.
