Reel Sisters is a friendship story by Michelle Cummings. This book tells the story of five women friendship joined by their passion for fly fishing. Each woman with a different personality and coming from different worlds, but united by a sport in which you catch and release a fish just by the joy of catching.

Sophie a strong, independent woman who had lost trust in love and men duet to a bad relationship but with a successful farm business. Veronica, a city girl with a business as a leader’s coach who travels around the country. Amanda, a housewife and schoolteacher with two small kids and a military husband, Rose and old but the wisest lady who not only is the one with more experience in fly fishing but who also use fly fishing to give them life advice. And Melody, a gothic girl, a photographer who join them after a funny and unexpected accident in the river when the other were fly fishing.

I like how the book is organized by the perspectives of each of the women, giving some hints on their lives and personalities, as well as the way they see the other women. It is one of those books that is difficult to stop reading and its story really hook me up since the beginning. The characters are well developed, and I laugh and cry with the book story.

I especially like from this book that it is full of vivid images of the landscapes in which the woman goes fly fishing as well as a detailed description of fly-fishing techniques. I liked each chapter quotes from fly fishing books and a bit of the story of this sport. It’s detailed description of the scenes and details on the characters make them easy to imagine and even more easy for you to be part of the story. It’s also one of those books, you can stop reading because of the actual life situations in which the characters are involved.

I couldn’t find any typo errors or grammatical mistakes. The book is well written with an interesting story full of emotions, funny situations, and interesting characters which make it easy to read. This is the reason why I rated this book as 3 out of 4 stars.
Finally, I will love to know something more about the characters after the tragic events at the end of the book. I like the resources at the end of the book about fly fishing in different parts of the world.
