A romance with a single parent and complicated love. I’d love to see how Alexa and Mateo navigate the ups and downs as they explore their feelings for each other.
Thank you for this lovely review!

I like your description "an unpolished love story." That's a unique way to say it. I was thinking it sounded like a soap opera -- maybe a little too much drama for me, but great review!

I appreciate how relatable the plot of this book is. Only hoping that those characters from Mateo and Alexa's past won't get in the way of their blossoming romance. fantastic review

I read some of the book sample online and was intrigued! I appreciated the author's explanation of the book title, and the slightly-creepy Prologue as well. I'd love to read this book - it seems like it has a dark edge to the romance theme. Let's take the mask off! ;)

I am very picky with romance stories. However, this sounds like a fascinating drama with so many people included. I wonder what motives all these ex-companions and other characters have to interfere Mateo's and Alexa's lives. Thank you for the intriguing review!

This story reminds me how complicated life can be if we allow it. I like the review. It makes me want to read the book. Alexa and Mateo are two people I can easily relate with.

Alexa’s life was fascinating to me; it seemed that between her work and personal life, she was the definition of double standards. At work, she was skilled at creating and indulging in deceitful schemes, but in her personal life, she held on to her integrity and truth while fighting like hell to ensure her work and personal lives didn’t mix.
- That does sound fascinating. Also very difficult and wonder why anybody would want to do that, which is so exhausting.
I also noticed the similarity in the names of Alexa’s children and her ex-husband’s name—Tristan, Trace, Treat, and Trent. I don’t know if this was intentional by the author, but it did provide me a nice little tongue-twister game to play on the side as I read.
- I do love a tongue twister too, it keeps my mind active and creative. It's a wonderful review and I can't mask how I feel about it. I'm getting the book right now. Thank you!

This is such a nice story line as the author describe the life of a divorcee who has to somehow play a double life and tries to hide her true authentic self, however love still founds her :twisted2:

As a lady, I can see why Alexa would struggle to keep her love life and work life separate. But at what point does one have to open up and accept vulnerability? Thanks for the great review!

"Masked Intent" by Kimberly Greer is a story about human perception of truth when interacting with other people. The desire to make ourselves better than we really are often prevails over honesty and accountability.
