Twisted Threads is a romance novel that will surely grab the attention and interest of many readers. This is actually the fourth book in Kaylin McFarren’s Twisted Threads. If you have read the first three installments of the Twisted Threads, you will surely be expecting a lot of suspense and thrills from this book. Fans of Kaylin McFarren will certainly enjoy this masterpiece.

This romance novel is about Akira Hamada, a geisha who has transformed into an assassin. Hamada was given the chance to escape from the Yakuza so that she can start a new life. This chance will be a reality if she completes the last job assigned to her. She is ask to find out and take down Keiko Mitsu’s killer. Keiko Mitsu is the sister of the leader of the Yakuza. Akira then meets Devon Lyons who is in the same cruise where the murder has happened. In order to find out who the killer is, she planned to seduce Lyons but ends up falling in love with him.

Twisted Threads offers a very effective murder mystery that will truly make the readers hang on to the story. Kaylin McFarren has exceptionally described the characters and settings which will make the imagination of the readers work and make them feel the emotions. The author has a way to make the readers get carried away with the intensity of the story. With this, the book is truly a worthy read.

This book of Kaylin McFarren is perfect for fans of romance novels and suspense mystery stories. They will truly find this book very interesting and engaging. But if you are a fan of endless, everlasting and flowery love stories, then this book is not for you. It has so many twists and turns that focus on the mystery and not on the love story of the main characters.

I loved how the author has showed different levels of mystery in the story. All the characters, settings and situations are described and explained very clearly which will make you focus on reading and knowing what will happen next. What I do not like with the book is that there are scenes that are too complicated to understand if you have not yet read the books 1 to 3. With this, it is better if the readers have read the first three installments first in order to fully understand the plot of the book.

Twisted Threads gets 3 out of 4 stars from me. It is a romance mystery novel that you would want to finish right away to get to the bottom of the twists. If not for the few confusing scenes, the book gets a perfect score. I also noticed almost no flaws in grammatical and typographical aspect. All in all, I definitely recommend this book for those who would like to get a story that has intense and effective mystery twists.
