Knowing yourself is the best achievement in oneself. Having self-awareness makes life easier to handle. No matter how hard or easy your situation is, you can overcome it, because assessing oneself is also the key in recognizing yourself so that you will have a harmonious relationship with other people. Just like the saying by Krishnamurthy, “The highest form of human intelligence has been the ability to observe yourself without judging yourself.’’ So if you are that person, that wants to know yourself deeper, this book really suits you.
Unveil your intimate self by Elena Georgiadou is about the world and human existence. It gives you an idea as a human being, how to live a life, where happiness is present, and how the world was formed in a scientific explanation. The most interesting part of this book is how a human identifies it and deal with it. It talks about awakening and consciousness that really blows up your mind. As what Elena Georgiadou wrote in his book “The intimate secret revealed in this book is the ultimate knowledge of your true Self, expanding human identity from the ego to an identity with all of reality, reestablishing the connection with your core essence and reaching higher states of consciousness and awakening.” The Author really did a great job in writing a book like this, it is such a great book where you can learn a lot. There are many theories, sayings, and out of this world explanation that the author explained it thoroughly.
I like the book because it gives me a feeling of excitement every time a new chapter will end. This book made me assess myself how far I am in knowing myself and my knowledge about the world where I live in. What I don’t like in this book is that it is more on a scientific basis rather than a biblical.
I recommend this book to the person who is an open-minded and willing to accept new information beyond their knowledge, to the person who has the willingness and wants to unveil them intimate self, and to the people who have difficulties in knowing their selves.
I rate it 3 out of 4 stars because it is more on cosmological and teleological reasoning. I’m not against it, but I grew up as a Christian, and as a Christian, I believe that God is the only one who made the universe. I didn’t rate it 4 because of the scientific explanation on how the universe was made. I didn’t rate it 2 because it is a good piece and I want people who were closed-minded to read it.
