A Little Lost A Little Found is the first is the new contemporary romance series by H.M. Irwing. This book begins with a prologue that outlines a major betrayal. The fallout sets in motion events that will lead to uncertain consequences for one and all. H.M. Irwing deals with the many issues we all encounter with relationships. Betrayal, friendship, trust, honor, unconditional love and support, manipulative behavior and personal choices are just a few of the issues dealt with in this story.

Lucy Little,19, has encountered and overcome many obstacles with the love and support of her family and best friend, Jace Neil. At the age of 8, Jace defended Lucy against bullies. At the age of 10, Lucy’s received information that answered some questions and created more. Jace’s gift on her 16th birthday caused Lucy some confusion, but he was still her anchor. Lucy’s protective nature is brought to the forefront in regards to those she loves. Lucy”s sisters,16 yr old twins, Cat and Emily, sends big sister roaring to the charge. As Jace and Lucy deal with the changes in their relationship, unexpected forces work to sabotage them. Lucy’s decision to accept an invitation to the US lands her in a very precarious situation.

This was a great story to read. It draws you in on page 1 and keeps you entangled until the end. I really enjoyed the twists and turns that developed throughout the story. I liked the development and continued exploration of the relationships amongst the characters of the story. Emotions often ran wild with these characters creating explosive confrontations and unpredictable conclusions. The author explores the emotional connections within the family dynamics spanning generations.

I am not sure who or how this book was edited, but it was very poorly done. There were so many errors that it was a bit distracting. I was able to truly enjoy the story, but there were times when I became extremely frustrated due to the frequency of the same mistakes. There were both grammatical and spelling errors. There were also unnecessary words and words in the wrong order. In spite of all the errors, I am looking forward to the second book of the series.

I rated this book 3 out of 4 stars. I gave a 3 instead of 2 because the storylines and characters are fabulous and very intriguing. I did not give this book a 4 because of the many errors.

This seems like a romance novel with well-developed characters and a solid plot - a clear winner for me. Thanks for the review!
