Review by Inyang Oduduabasi ---- Health Tips, Myth and Trick by Tavel, MD.
[A volunteer review of Health Tips, Myth and Trick by Tavel, MD]

Health and wellness is probably one of our life highest concern. From the time of conception to birth through adolescent, we have always wanted to be in good health. But unfortunately many factors affects our wealth being, sometimes putting us in an unfavourable health condition. These factors can be summarized in Tavels book, thus TIPS – those things we need to know and do to stay in good health. MYTH – those views and misconceptions that we held about our health that are not really true and then TRICK – including all the false claims by nonprofessionals on the efficacy of some health related products that do not work to lure us in patronizing due to our lack of knowledge of these products.

After reading Tavel’s book, one should be reassured on his/her health and total wellness. What he/she should eat and not eat. What to drink and not. And generally the health products to buy and not to. It will open everyone eye to the health scams perpetrated by unprofessionals and how to avoid it.

This book is a great read for me. Having personally benefited from reading it. The major subdivisions of this book – Tips, Myth and Trick, makes such a scientific work of the book looks so simple and easier to comprehend. Tavel, MD captured my attention and interest right from the beginning of the book by succinctly taking his time to explained the health and wellness tips that almost everyone need to know. Most of the topics captured by Tavel under the health tips would change one’s health and wellbeing for the good if followed.

On the second section of the book – MYTH, Tavel MD took his time to revealed the many misconceptions about our health that may have held so many people bound for so many years, making them to spent a huge amount of money on some of the health products and services that do not work. After reading through this section, it was like an eye opener to me having realized so many health misconceptions that I before now thought were real and beneficiary.

The last part or section of the book – TRICK, was as interesting as the other two parts. I tagged it ‘a one man war against huge organizations, companies and individuals' who hide’s under false claims to scammed millions of their hard earn money on probably unreliable and unproven health products. Tavel’s book did not just exposed their trick but also could rescue the poorly informed masses by providing reliable information from trusted sources.

This book to me is a great evidence based, thoroughly research piece of work that should be recommended to every one who may want to keep on a good health, live healthier as well as improve on a bad health condition.

The write-ups is generally good, the presentation is simple for almost everyone to understand, even though a highly scientific work. The grammar is great and well-connected except for one or two insignificant error. Also, I observed that some of the work referred to in the book were not referenced. But this also were few compared to all the works referenced in the book. So, I like the book and will recommend it to everyone. I therefore rate the book or give it a 4 out of 4.
