Review of My Trip to Adele by R.I. Alyaseer and A.I. Alyaseer
This is a novel that I never would have imagined or even fantasized about, but here I am, writing a review of a book that I would probably call the best I’ve ever read. The story contains series of stories and excitement all packed in a single novel.
The novel tells a story about a man living in Rome who is caught up between worlds considering that he had left the love of his life in Marrakesh a Moroccan city not really knowing why he had left her all those years ago. But when approached by a shawafar in Rome, he then decided to revisit his past to find the answers he so desperately longed for.
The story also trails down many other part as that of a man who has lost love and was trying to rebuild his love with the fractures of what they hoped still remained of their once undying love, he had married his wife simply because he saw that she was relentless and had an incredible faith that he thought was all he needed for a happy and healthy marriage life, but is faith all that was really needed in a family?
Meanwhile in Jordan, a single mother tries her best in order to prevent her son from being downtrodden by her divorce, she tries the best she can to always be supportive to her only son, while also trying to live a free life with 0% restrictions, as the trio tries their best to find love they also battle with their believes and knowledge of the supernatural, as they strive through live they are accompanied by the lyrics and the voice of Adele, who comforts them in times of discomfort with as the writer puts it “her glorious and angelic voice and heart felt lyrics” .
Written in a unique caliber of thought, the writers are fully able to portray their definitions of love, hate, lust, anger, denial and guilt. They were able to fully convey their information to their readers from different points of view and achieve a certain height of reasoning, as I read the novel I loved the way I couldn’t even hint at the direction the story was taking me. It was just as if I was in a taxi without knowing as much as my destination but I felt very relaxed as it took me through reality but as I reached the bus stop (as in the end of the story), the story didn’t quiet take the turns as I expected it. The write up put me in a certain kind of suspense which I think is what every reader expects from a novel.
The book I would say is meant for those who enjoy a good thriller novel, I would recommend it to all ages, so as long as you can read, grab a copy, it will certainly take you through limitless emotions. As for the book I would certainly give the book a ‘3 out of 4’ stars, whereas in it is great book and all but it didn't quite make a romantic novel which it’s supposed to be. I would advise the writers to be a little more descriptive because they were overly vague on some matters.
