My Trip to Adele, a fantastic novel written by two co-authors, Ahmad & Rana who love Adele. Authors were so obsessed with her album, 25, they went to a concert of her and inspired to write this novel. I picked this book for reading is also due to the same reason, lots of love to Adele.
In this book authors introduce three different stories of three lives from three different countries but everyone is connected to Adele in brilliant way. This book is also all about Adele’s lyrics so, it’s interesting and something different.
In the first story, authors introduce the life of Elias. Elias’s story is a kind of hidden love, who went to Marrakesh from Rome eight years back and fell in love with 12 years girl Malika. He left back to Rome leaving his love but never confessed why he did it. However, he is still searching for his lost love and planning to visit Adele’s concert.
In the second story, authors introduce Nadira who is a single mother and staying in Jordan. Nadira is a very strong lady and she had strong court fight with her husband. She planned for a trip with her son to an Adele concert but faced religious and social obstacles.
In the last, we are introduced Yasher, who is a very successful Surgeon from Las Vegas, USA. He married Mariam and the couple have two. They are living a regular life. Although the couple are faithful to each other but they are finding a marriage consultant to bring back their love and affections they had before marriage. Yasher believes that they can be together in Adele’s concert.
I enjoyed lot while reading the journey of Elias, Nadira and Yasher. All of them wish to attend Adele’s concert to resolve their problems in life. Author is tried to connect Adele with three different places and different culture’s people. As the whole story concept is focused on Adele’s lyrics and songs so, this book is a fabulous gift for the Adele’s fans. However, who are not Adele’s fan or doesn’t know about her, they can be annoyed sometimes as in each story authors added few lyrics from Adele’s song. Also, there is no conclusions about journey of Elias, Nadira and Yasher; whether they all will find their love or not. Some readers can feel little non-romantic too. I can say this is not a must-read book for all but this can be a must-read for die-hard fans of Adele.
I think it’s a good attempt from authors Ahmad & Rana. I would like review with 3 out of 4 for this book.
