Leslie wakes one morning to the police issuing a warrant to search her apartment. Her husband, Paul, vanished and left her to deal with the FBI's investigation into his financial fraud. There is a list of people who are rightfully upset with Paul because he swindled them out of their money. However, with him being gone, they can only take their frustration out on Leslie. She, however, also lost everything when Paul left. Will Leslie be able to pick up the pieces of her life and start over? Read Don’t Be Like That by Cynthia A King to find out.

I liked the premise of the book. There are a number of genres this book could fit into, including romance and thriller. As these are two of my favorite genres, I quite enjoyed the general plot of the book. The book opens with the police kicking down Leslie's door. It was exciting and drew me in. The pace continued to move quickly throughout the entire book.

The book, unfortunately, contained a number of errors, such as misspellings and punctuation errors. It could use additional proofreading. There were also a few inconsistencies and logical errors in the book. For example, when Paul and Leslie are talking early on, there is a sentence saying, "he calculated their age difference." A sentence later, it says, "how big a gap he wasn't sure." This does not make sense. If the age gap was calculated, then why is he unsure of how big it was? There were a few other instances of things not quite making sense throughout the book.

I rate this book 2 out of 5 stars. It felt like an unpolished work, which is why I gave it a lower score. With additional editing, this could be an engaging book. I think it would appeal to fans of romance who also enjoy a bit of action. It does have strong language, so I believe that it is best suited for adult audiences. However, if you are looking for a well-polished book, this might not be for you.
