Review of Success by Emotions
When I first read the title of this book, Success by Emotions, I was curious to know how a person can achieve success by emotions. Over the years, I've been taught that emotions can cloud our judgment and prevent us from making good, logical decisions. After reading this book titled Success by Emotions by Bob Raybould, my perspective on emotions changed. I bet you're curious too; get a copy of the book to learn more.
Bob was born and brought up in a family that had great challenges, from his father suffering PTSD and his mother creating a wall to block emotions to prevent feeling the pain that her life brought. Bob had dyslexia, which came with great challenges. All those challenges made him block his emotions too and believe he was just a failure. All this changed when he discovered the tool Success by Emotions (SBE). The tool adopts three laws of nature and four steps of the process of achieving success by emotions, and it also helps us eliminate false ideas about ourselves and achieve success through our emotions.
The author had to feel the blocked emotions to start achieving all the goals he'd always believed he couldn't. This book takes us through various ways the author used the tool and teaches us how we can become our true selves and achieve our goals by replacing the false ideas we have about ourselves with good emotions that represent our true selves. Emotions are what make us human, and this book supports it well. It really challenges the saying “fake it till you make it,” and I agree with the author.
Honestly, Success by Emotions is a book I highly recommend. By reading it, I gained many invaluable lessons that are essential to making me a better person. SBE is a tool that can be applied in different parts of our lives, ranging from social, personal, and economic to political life. It has been proven by various individuals to be effective based on the good testimonials included in the book. It is also a very short book that readers can read and reread over a short period. I also loved the recommendation of listening to The Strangest Secret by the radio speaker and author Earl Nightingale.
The book was well edited, as I came across only one grammatical error as I was reading. I give the book a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. I deducted a star for two reasons. One, there were parts of the book that were repetitive, and I grew tired of them. Another was the author's advice that readers can skip the other chapters and read Chapter Four. After reading the whole book, I feel that reading everything from the first page to the last is very important. I recommend that the author remove that part. This is a book that all individuals, especially young, ambitious but stuck individuals, can really benefit from. I really appreciate the author for sharing the eye-opening tool.
