Who Told You That You Were Naked? By William E. Combs

Reverend William E. Combs takes the reader through a refreshing and interesting re-examination of the Garden of Eden, including other parts of the Bible, in "Who Told You That You Were Naked?". A book that's purpose is to invoke further thought into the Christian Bible and its interpretation, as well as bringing things to light that many do not notice.

This book is worth a read, especially for Christians. It will invoke thought on sentences that you haven't really thought all that hard about and point out the common misconceptions of the Bible. I find that Reverend Combs had placed a lot of effort into his research and the narration he inserted into the story adds a slight personal touch to it.

The only disappointing thing I found about this book was more of a personal preference than a fault; I would have enjoyed reading an interpretation of the entire Bible according to Reverend Combs as I believe he would've been able to clarify several more things about the Bible, or offering a different perspective.

"Who Told You That You Were Naked?" has captivated me with its well-thought-out content and good grammar. The author is very effective at making the reader see context from the Bible in a different perspective, often by pointing at the way a verse is described. I especially enjoyed the end of chapter notes and narrative. The Reverend has structured the book perfectly, flowing from one chapter to another without confusing the reader or straying from topic. The book content isn't dry or dull, so I can find myself coming back to read it.

I give this book a 4 out of 4 star, as it has clearly been professionally edited and published. The author had placed a considerable amount of effort into making it an enjoyable read, not dry or confusing, with a well-structured outline and even pace. The Reverend raises some interesting points about the Bible as he re-examines Adam and Eve's actions as well as other parts of the Bible. This a book I would recommend all Christians should read, as well as those who are interested in understanding Christian philosophy. The content in this book is well-thought-out, researched and placed in an easy to process format. If Reverend Combs releases another re-examination of the Bible, I will be first line to read it.

I enjoyed his style also. Maybe he will write another one about a different area of scripture.
