The book “Cross-intents (2)" by Scott Well is a continuation of the first book, which focused on the birth of Jesus (king). This second book explores the events that took place after his birth up to his baptism.

The book begins after the magnificent birth of Jesus. On the 8th day, his parents invited a priest to where they were staying to have him circumcised and named as the law required. After that it became their routine to move from one place to another guided by the angels in order not to be noticed by the demons. When he was around two years old, the demons detected that he was still alive and tried killing him by using King Herod, but they failed terribly and lost a chance to destroy him as a baby. Jesus continued to grow as a normal being with his parents and siblings , still protected by the angels. He fell in love with the temple such that it became like home to him. Even at his young age, he had the confidence to challenge the priests there.

At around the age of 30, he decided he had come of age, and he had to begin his mission. That's when he went to the Jordan River, where he was baptized by John the Baptist, who had been preparing the way for him by urging people to change and be born again. It's also when the demons realized who He was because of how incredible the baptism was, and God made him known.

The book's writing style is so remarkable as it's simple and easy to understand. I liked how the author points out that the negative thoughts people have, like committing suicide, are the work of the devil, but the angels are always there to help them overcome them. Because of that incredible fact, I rate it 5 out of 5 stars. The book is professionally edited.

This is a great book, which I highly recommend to anyone who has read the first book and to Christians. As it deeply explores the history of Jesus, how he grew up, and who his siblings were. It's a great read.
