Review of The Illusion of Superiority
”The Illusion of Superiority” is a discourse on the discovery of Christopher Joseph on how to prove the existence of unseen entities, otherwise known as spirits. It is a self-help book and a philosophical book that defines what humanity really portrays. The idea behind the author getting to understand that “family is those who love you and whom you love-not just those who share your blood with” made me understand that the definition of a family according to science “as a group of people related by blood” might be right but in its realistic sense, it goes beyond that. A family is not just a group of people related by blood. But also, a group of people related by bound and structures.
Right from the beginning of this book, I was also able to ask myself the same question the author asked that “What is my place in this
world of madness, Is there really anything I can do to make a difference?” Well, I finally found an answer to this before reading the last page of the book and the answer to this is basically the need for a difference to start within me before exploring it to the globe at large. Which simply means that the best way to make a difference in this “world of madness”, Is to be different.
The author's discovery and explanation as regards the Unseen Entities (Spirits) as well as the ability to avoid criticism about People who communicate with the Unseen Entities. The author has salient thoughts about both the potential dangers and usefulness that unseen entities and certain individuals who work with malevolent intentions have. And attesting to the fact that “What they pose to society can be harmful but can also be used in ways some may find of value”.
My best part of this book is the part of the Author where he said “From the time I was five years old, I had clarity of purpose: I knew I was going to be a doctor. I wanted to be of service to others, and there was little that truly fascinated me the way the human body did and still does. The prestige of being a doctor also appealed to me.When a five-year-old says with confidence he’s going to be a doctor, people stand up straight and look at him differently, with far more respect, and I reveled in that feeling as a child. I dedicated myself to studying and pursuing that goal for years”. This made me understand that decisions in life are best made early else, it might be too late.
“To achieve our optimal personal development and maintain the focus needed to persist willingly in the stewardship of all that surrounds us, our thoughts, principles, and actions must all be in harmony. Attentively caring for the needs of ourselves and others requires disciplined self-sacrifice and unwavering focus that can only be fueled by a mind that is strong and focused”. Knowing this fully well gives room to understand that every action or decision is first a state of the mind before reality.
“Part of the reason why I do what I’m doing is because I feel that one of the problems with society is that there’s a neglected partnership between humanity and the unseen world. We must help each other. If you don’t even acknowledge that there’s even an existence of these beings, then how can there be harmony? You see it in the way we treat the Earth, and the way we treat each other. Sometimes I, much like you, feel impelled to do the work I’m doing for some reason. I don’t really understand why exactly.” This explains it all [Alone a voice, together a Force].
This book is actually a must-read beyond doubt as it cuts across all spheres of life. Asides the fact that this book lacks typographical error and it is grammatically structured for better understanding, This book also entails reality in both the physical and spiritual sense. Philosophically, this book is detailed. Talking about The quest for wisdom, The personal path for each individual, The cycle of change, The bond between the physical and spiritual worlds, The awareness of our ancestral bound, The four dimensions of true learning and a lot more. This book deserves a 5 star recommendation to everyone that is ready to journey through life and reality. I promise you, till you get to the last page of this book, you won't regret reading ”The Illusion of Superiority”
