4 out of 5 stars.

The Fight for Sleep by Thad R. Harshbarger is a guide for insomniacs and anyone who needs specific information about how to get a better sleep.p. Unlike most self-help manuals where you get pat solutions or inspiring stories of how a certain strategy has paid off, you get solutions from Harshbarger on your kind of sleep issues from the middle of the night sleep disturbing noises. Actually, observations of habits accompanied by decisions making on the part of the character helps him to develop an individual approach towards gaining more rest. The book does not offer readers volumes of advice that can be totally unrelated to making people feel better and, hypothesizes to them. I found this realistic, educational and to those who have no more strength fight for night’s sleep – useful.

I was pleased to give The Fight for Sleep 4 out of 5 because this book offers straight and concise instructions on how to handle insomnia. This demands for a approach which will cater for individual needs rather than the blanket approach which Thad R. Harshbarger has come up with in his guide on improving sleep. The step by step arrangement of ideas as espoused by the author of the book also gives out a basic and simple feeling suitable for any person with fatigue symptoms. To this end, it differs from other books in the genre because of the stress laid on the process of self-education and decision-making, to become as free as possible regarding sleep schedule. In general, it is a useful book, which grants people personal power to help them overcome insomnia.

I have decided to rate The Fight for Sleep a star below perfect because as helpful as the book is to help come up with a definite and individualistic solution to insomnia, there are certain scientific explanations which are helpful but seemingly missing into the mix. Some people who want to learn more about sleep disorders or see more cases might think that the content is not very diverse. Furthermore, there is comprehensive guidance of how to go about the process outlined in the book but it might prove useful to provide even more case study to allow the reader to understand how the process will look when implemented practically. However, there are some pitfalls which can be mentioned here The book is undoubtedly an efficient and rather inspiring tool which brings a positive change in the field of sleep.

The editor of the book has done a very outstanding job, as in the whole book there are no errors.

In The Fight for Sleep, Thad R. Harshbarger present an easily accessible way of fighting insomnia as the author makes his readers familiar with their specific sleep issues. By applying techniques of analysis readers of the article can learn strategies of personalized observation and decision, which makes the article a useful source of information for those who seeking a lasting sleep solution for sleepless night.
