Twisted Threads by Kaylin McFarren

A fascinating story of murder, Sex, Intrigue, action, and adventure on the high seas
I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars.

The reason for the rating is simple -This book has everything that makes for an intriguing read. It captured my attention from the first paragraph and to be honest it kept me entertained for the whole book. It is sexy, steamy, sassy and well written, It is the perfect blend of action, suspense and mystery.

It follows the adventures of Akira, a seasoned assassin for the Zakura-kai Yakuza family as she embarks on a journey of revenge, murder and mystery. She is a loyal servant to her bosses, willing to do whatever is needed to fulfil their wishes. Akira as the main character brings the story to life as she uses not only her skills as an assassin but her beauty and sexuality to ensure her mission is completed.

As the adventure progresses you are drawn into her world as she travels across the world in search of her latest target. I found myself willing Akira on, wanting her to succeed and I felt a true connection with the character.Akira is by far my favourite character in the book. She is as beautiful and sexy as she is deadly and determined.

During the story, Akira has to battle not only with the task ahead but also the complications of the heart and her own personal demons. She is a strong powerful character, a true heroine. You will find yourself drawn into her mind as the story continues towards the climax.

Another thing that I enjoyed when reading the book was the way that Kaylin introduced the new characters. The way she described then allowed me to paint a picture in my mind of what they looked like, how they acted and I was able to form my own opinions about them.

WARNING
I must add that some people may find the authors style to be too graphic especially with the sexual nature of the words but I personally feel that the book would not be as good without this. I feel that the way Kaylin uses the numerous descriptions of sex and violence in the book are used to perfection.

If I had to sum up this book in one word it would be FANTASTIC.

I will say that I felt I was missing some of the background as this is the fourth book in the Threads Series and I do suggest that you do what I am definitely going to do which is read the other books in the series. This is the first book that I have read of hers but it will not be the last
