The Djika Equation is a novel that introduces a reader to the dark world. The world of demons and spiritual beings, including angels and even the Creator. As usual, it's based on a struggle between good and evil where evil is working to get supporters, or rather occupants of hell, contrary to the Creator's wish. This opens the way for the fictitious part of the book with interactions on a spiritual angle, even hell.

Djika, a young girl, is given an assignment where they are to pick figures from the past, and in her quest to do the same, she unwraps a whole new world that shapes the course of the book and engulfs a reader in the same.

The book boasts exceptional editing as well as nice chapters, which enable the reading to flow smoothly. Dialogue has been used widely in the book and creates a real-time feel while reading, hence enhancing memorability as one goes through what the book has to offer. I liked the use of chapters and rhetoric, which made sense for sure and stirred deep contemplation on matters of environment and greed for profits.

The book's setting is more spiritual, with so much reference to beings in the spiritual plane, and we even get to see some people interviewed before they find their footing in the spirit world. I disliked though that the book was boring and doesn't give a reader that psyche required to keep them going.

I generally didn't like the book as it wasn't captivating, to say the least, and would rate it 3 out of 5 stars . I found the plot quite haphazard, with new occurrences hindering perfect flow and hence making the book unenjoyable, hence the rating. Youths interested in dark fiction are my recommended group for the book by Al Roy.
