This is a reflective, ponderous work of fantasy rumination on hope, resilience, and redemption. The story of Galen Bray, a young blacksmith barely escaping his war-torn home to start anew in the kingdom of Voulhire, is told henceforth. He also encounters characters along the way who have in their possession tranquility for peaceful coexistence in Hillport, such as Lord Eldus, while others, such as Meldorath, possess powers of black magic, thus posing a threat to the security of the kingdom.

The novel is also full of surprises; for example, the attack on Hillport by Riva Rohavi and the surprise element of the powers of Meldorath. I would recommend this book to any lover of fantasy with that hint of mystery in them. The book’s editing was also wonderful, as I didn’t find any errors.

What I like about this book is the deep, profound themes it deals with in its character; one such is that of Lord Eldus, who struggles to restore peace and justice in Hillport. His efforts to heal the wounds inflicted on them by his predecessor, Lord Orlin, and protection from the dark forces of Meldorath created layers to deepen the narrative. The feeling of redemption that Galen went through was so appealing and provoking; it made the book a great read.

I enjoyed the entire book, from the prologue to the very last chapter. Even the 'about the author' sections caught my attention; thus, I got to know what kind of unique person the author is, and that really displayed throughout the book. I just do not see any reason to dislike We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies by Matthew Tysz. It is a perfect fictional read, and I believe that it would not only make a good movie but a good series of movies too.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars, as through the characters it has given in-depth analysis, first and foremost, such as Lord Eldus, who struggles to bring peace and justice to Hillport. These include the journey of Galen into redemption. The distinctive personality of the author is also reflected throughout the book. All in all, the book is entertaining from its prologue down to its last chapter, and the uniqueness of the author is so apparent within.
