The Tiger’s Eye: Angels in Mumbai by Scott B. Delaney can be viewed as an electrifying continuation of the Global Calling series, which is full of Christian themes, supernatural occurrences, and action. This novel is based in India and revolves around the life of Andrew Morrison, who decides to shift bases to come and be with the leaders of the ministry. Andrew, escaping from a brutal kidnapping experience, finds himself caught in another terror operation during a ministry rally; some people died, and several others were left with critical injuries. One can pick out a vital understanding of how angels play a key role in the world with the way the novel portrays how divine power can change hard situations into victorious outcomes through believing by faith.

In Delaney’s writing about India, the excitement of the country’s color, life, and history can be seen through descriptions of the Dharavi Slum to the celebration of the Holi Festival. Indians are portrayed vividly in this novel, as well as other customs and traditions, which makes the reader immersed in the story fully. One of the main characters is Trevor, who illuminates the novel with his bravery and strong Christian values. His deeds and determination in adversity contribute a lot of emotion in the book.

Another positive aspect that can be pointed out is the representation of Indian traditions in the course of the novel, which adds depth to the plot. The vivid nature of the language and writing creates a feel of the rich, pulsating life, the colors of the fairs and festivities, and the cultural and social pluralism of the country—India. The blending of cultures, the suspenseful performance of events, and the implication of spiritualism make this work rather unique in the reader’s experience. This novel makes the reader reach for more pages: the conflicts are supernatural, and the references to the Bible are well incorporated.

The writing is polished, and the stories are well-edited, which makes for an interesting read. With its powerful message of faith, redemption, and thrilling action, I didn't find anything to dislike about this book, and I highly recommend it to readers who enjoy Christian books and fiction with supernatural elements. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for its engaging storyline.
