Ruckus’ novel, “All Body Bags and No Knickers,” is an unconventional mystery with its own unique style but may not suit every reader’s tastes. The book starts out slow, which might make some readers lose patience, but as the plot develops, it gets more and more interesting and suspenseful.

The book is about Chance and Catherine, a newly married couple who decide to have their honeymoon in China with Chance’s family. They learn about Chinese traditions and visit some famous places, but the trip turns bad when something bad that happened in 2005 comes back. This bad event, which affects Chance, An, and their friends, leads to a murder investigation, and the characters get pulled into a web of mystery and suspense.

One of the best things about this book is Ruckus’ writing style. He describes China’s cities and landmarks so well that you can imagine yourself there. The book also spends a lot of time exploring the history and culture of the places the characters visit. This adds a lot of authenticity and makes the story feel more real. However, some readers might find this part of the book slow if they are more interested in the mystery.

The characters in "All Body Bags and No Knickers" are interesting, but some readers might feel that they don't know them very well. This is because some of the characters have appeared in other books by Ruckus. For readers who haven't read those books, it might take some time to understand the characters. But the characters' interactions and relationships are very interesting. It shows how complicated trust and cooperation can be in relationships.

Ruckus hides important details and reveals them slowly, keeping the readers on the edge of their seats. The tension builds as the characters try to figure out what happened, leading to a really exciting and satisfying ending.

Even though the book hints at a sequel, "All Body Bags and No Knickers" is a really enjoyable read. It is exceptionally well edited, with no mistakes, making it a great experience for readers.

There were a few things in this book that I didn't enjoy. The story was mainly told through dialogue, which made the storytelling feel a bit limited. So I wouldn't give this book a perfect score. I am rating it 4 out of 5 stars . I still recommend it to mystery lovers who like detailed stories. But readers who prefer fast-paced stories or who don’t like long descriptions should be careful when reading this book.
