"Nightlord: Sunset" by Garon Whited is a fantasy novel that tells the story of Eric, an ordinary man who suddenly finds himself turned into a vampire. After a rough breakup, Eric goes out for drinks with friends and wakes up in a strange mansion with no memory of what happened. He soon discovers that he has been transformed into a vampire by a mysterious woman named Sasha. As Eric tries to understand his new life, he learns about a hidden world full of magic, danger, and ancient secrets. He struggles to balance his human feelings with his vampire instincts along the way.

The book does a good job of creating a vivid and detailed world. The author describes the settings in a way that makes it easy to imagine them, from the dark and creepy forests to the grand, old castles. The story is packed with action, adventure, and moments of suspense. Eric faces many challenges, from battling evil creatures to dealing with powerful enemies who want to destroy him. The blend of fantasy and reality makes the book engaging and keeps the reader turning pages to see what happens next.

One thing I really liked about this book was Eric’s character. He is not your typical hero. He is flawed and has to deal with many emotional struggles, which makes him relatable. As he grows into his new identity as a Nightlord, you can see how much he changes and becomes stronger. The other characters in the book, like Sasha and Travis, also have interesting stories that add depth to the overall plot.

However, the book is quite long, and that’s why I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars. While the story is interesting, there were parts that felt slow and dragged on a bit too much. Some of the scenes could have been shorter to keep the pace up.

Even with the slow parts, this book is well-written, with great characters and an exciting plot. The editing is flawless—I didn’t find any mistakes, which shows that the author and editor did a great job. Overall, it’s a solid read for anyone who enjoys fantasy and vampire stories. If you don’t mind the length, you’ll find it a rewarding and enjoyable book.
