My Trip to Adele is a fascinating novel by sibling writers R. I. Alyaseer and A. I. Alyaseer. Being a die-hard fan of Adele, I did not think twice before selecting this book and did not regret my decision.

This is an amazing novel which portrays the stories of three main characters namely Elias, Nadia and Yaser. Though they belong to different geographical and cultural backgrounds, they are connected by their genuine love for singer Adele. Their personal struggle, helplessness and sacrifice could not fade away their love for Adele rather her songs provide them the courage to fight bravely against the adversities.

Here, Elias, a Moroccan man from Rome can not overcome his past relationship and takes a journey to Marrakesh in search of his lost love. Single mother Nadia fights for her freedom and dreams to enjoy Adele's live performance with her beloved son. Yaser's atheism crumbles down his marriage with Mariam.

In this novel, each character takes a personal journey of self-realization and growth and bravery and faces their past decisions and present challenges. The authors skilfully interconnected their narratives using Adele's songs as the linker. The novel also touches the sensitive topics such as divorce, polygamy, cultural expectations, atheism and the clash between tradition and modernity.

I enjoyed this novel as it offers character-driven narratives with multiple perspectives. Again, the authors do not overburden the narrative with numerous characters. This novel also mentions Adele's songs in a very unique way which is quite impressive to me. There is nothing I can say against this book.

Lastly, the novel is praiseworthy with its professional editing. It demands a rating of 5 out of 5 stars as the novel explores the themes of love, loss, faith and self-discovery against the backdrop of an Adele concert in Verona. I would like to recommend this book to those who enjoy contemporary fiction with a touch of wanderlust and musical inspiration.
