Review of We are Voulhire: A New Arrival under Great Skies
Matthew Tysz's "We Are Voulhire: A Journey into Fantasy" transports readers to the kingdom of Voulhire, which is fraught with intrigue and conflict. We accompany Galen Bray on his journey, experiencing the breathtaking scenery and political tensions that define his new life and adventures in this captivating fantasy world. This is a fantastic story set in a future multidimensional cosmos. Matthew Tysz's desire to keep readers engaged in his story is clear, as seen by his thorough depictions of the characters and locations. The tale unfolds on several levels, alternating between the lives of the main characters, who circle around a commune nucleus: Meldorath Dalehei, a powerful magician. King Wilhelm wishes to safeguard his country, but he requires the assistance of the Mianoran Knights, an organization almost as old as the kingdom itself. However, the first knight is a corrupt and narcissistic philanderer who sees the kingdom and life as only a game. These are the days when Galen Bray, a wide-eyed and grateful immigrant, arrives by boat in Voulhire, ready to do whatever it takes to help his new neighbors. Eldus Alderman is a wise, optimistic, and compassionate lord who wishes to see the city survive and grow despite its unfortunate past. Voulhire's past and present are intertwined, culminating in an explosive moment when a full cycle of this land's history is completed. As I read the novel, I was taken to the fascinating world of Galen Bray, an immigrant from the Land of the Princes attempting to solve the secrets of his new home, Voulhire. While the story is an intriguing fantasy read that deserves three out of five stars, it does have a few flaws. Nonetheless, it demonstrates Tysz's potential in the fantasy genre, making readers hungry for the next volumes of the "We Are Voulhire" series. This book is well-written fantasy. The author fearlessly confronts the issues of pedophilia and immigration from warring states. I didn't dislike anything about this fascinating book. The book was well edited; I did not find any errors. I truly enjoyed every episode, so I joyfully give this book 5 out of stars. Honestly, I did not find any reason to rate it lower. I recommend this book to a large adult audience who enjoy fantasy and adventure, especially adults, because it has some profanity.
