When Kalliope Barlis started playing golf in her twenties, she wanted to go pro. In just two years, she did that with an awesome coach and a dose of NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) techniques during practice. In Play Golf Better Faster: The Little Golf Bag Book, she shares the methods she used to become a pro golfer.

This is a little book to be stashed in your golf bag. When you need a motivational boost or a tip to make a hole-in-one, you take a peek at it. It is split into three easy parts: using your brain, practicing golf, and playing golf. It’s a straight path: shaping your mindset before playing golf, tips and tricks on practicing golf, and then the same for playing golf. It is refreshing and effective.

Kalliope’s NLP techniques are lovable. It was weird at first to imagine a missed putt into a tiny dot and make it vanish or to take the memory of a perfect shot and magnify it to humongous proportions. But once I got the hang of the idea and reaped its benefits, I became a believer.

It was not all mind games. When Chuck Hogan, her coach, told her to play with professionals, Kalliope did just that. Practice and NLP techniques made her a pro golfer, so she mixes NLP techniques with sensible golf practice and gives the right blend of both in this little golf bag book.

I enjoyed everything about the book and found nothing to dislike. I rate it five out of five stars. It's a goldmine for golfers. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced player, it’s the book to improve your skills fast. It is also a treasure if you love NLP and want to see its action in a highly novel setting; that’s golfing for most people.
