What if everything we did in our dreams was actually real and could influence other versions of ourselves in different dimensions? In one "worldline" or dimension, 21-year-old Gary Jackson is dating the girl of his dreams, has a job, and is studying physics at the University College of Southern England; while in another worldline, Gary Jackson is an unemployed mental health patient receiving treatment for depression and PTSD since being involved in a road accident a few years ago.

Adam Guest showcases a remarkable talent for creating lively and captivating characters, each with unique motivations and challenges. The novel intricately depicts human experiences, from Gary's inner turmoil to his interactions with friends and family, all set against the exploration of the multiverse.

Reading "Worldlines" feels like being taken on a rollercoaster ride. The concept of the multiverse is fascinating enough on its own, and Adam Guest masterfully uses it to ignite the reader's curiosity. He skillfully intertwines the two slightly different versions of Gary, often making it hard to distinguish which universe or version of Gary we're following. It's mind-boggling. The complex chain of events in one life can create ripples affecting other realities every time a choice is made. This idea is one of the book's remarkable merits. It is clearly illustrated through the actions of the main characters, often leading to consequences that impact their lives. Additionally, Adam Guest effectively highlights the protagonists' development and the differences between them. These aspects are what I enjoyed about the book. I can bet that anyone who reads this book will be lost in it, just like I was, and I don't regret any moment I spent on the book.

I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. If you enjoy reading unique books that make you think differently about life, I would highly recommend this one. The book was exceptionally well edited.
