I rated "Debt Cleanse: How To Settle Your Unaffordable Debts for Pennies on the Dollar (And Not Pay Some At All)" by Jorge P. Newbery 3 out of 5 stars because it is a very well-written book with detailed guidance on settling debts, even if they are substantial. I also like how the author incorporated dark humor every now and then to make the book fun to read. The reason I did not give a higher rating is my uncertainty about the practicality of the author's methods in real life. While some strategies may work, I doubt the effectiveness of others. Additionally, the book conflicts with my moral belief that we should pay for what we receive, though I appreciate the cleverness of managing debt without using personal funds.

The author has dedicated significant effort to editing the book, ensuring a smooth flow of content and well-organized references at the end of each chapter. The book cover is notable for its comprehensive terminology, and the author has enhanced readability by bolding subchapters, aiding in the memorization of steps to cleanse debt. Additionally, the format of the templates provided is straightforward to copy and reference. The action plans at the end could be used as a quick reference whenever they are needed. I also appreciate the inclusion of templates for practical use and guidance on common pitfalls at the end of the book.

This book would be beneficial for individuals facing significant debt and those open to exploring new financial strategies. The author seems very knowledgeable and he even has an online community to help people in debt so the readers could easily access additional resources with a click. I would recommend this book to anyone seeking guidance on debt settlement and to risk-takers looking for innovative financial approaches. The author covers various types of debt, making the book useful for anyone with any kind of debt. With this book alone, I was able to learn so much about different kinds of debt so even if you do not have any debt, you would still be informed about how to mitigate the risk of being in debt.
