Breaking the Mold: Remodeling Your Way to Success by Fabian Videla is a comprehensive guide to success. In the realm of entrepreneurship, it can be considered a blueprint for business success. Meticulously, Videla summarizes his life from early childhood and how he navigates economics in an attempt to be the crème de la crème in the business domain. From each encounter, he gives a description of the lesson learned and how crucial the lesson can be in fostering one's business success.

Native to Mendoza, Argentina, the author narrates his childhood experiences. He gives credit to his family—mum, aunt, uncles, and grandmother—whose values and advice have molded and nurtured him in life. Ambitious in nature, the author ventures into business at an early age. Videla starts as a garlic vendor, selling garlic to the locals door-to-door. He manages the business well, coordinating all business factors, including labor, market, and profits, appropriately. From the age of eighteen, the author gained diverse working experience working with different family members and friends. He then immigrated to the United States of America in search of greener pastures, later followed by his wife Agata and daughters Alexa and Karen. With his exposure and experience, Videla works hard and smart, such that by July 2000, he had founded his first American company. Videla then proceeds to take us through his years working, the ups and downs, and the lessons learned that have made him what he is today. The book provides insights on business management, the development of a good business strategy, and the environment for customer satisfaction.

I find this book appealing in various aspects. To begin with, the book is precise and straight to the point. The layout is superb—a summary of the business lesson backed up by a firsthand narration of a real-life instance where the lesson came in handy. This conveniences the readers by enabling quick retrieval of information. Videla’s choice of words is befitting of the book’s main thematic concern. Vocabularies like profit, insurance, and expenses all relate to business management. A variety of themes have been addressed in this book, creating awareness on various topics of interest, a good example being immigration. More appealing is the fact that the author acknowledges modern-day technology by incorporating a quick response code (QR code) at the end of each chapter for readers whose curiosity may have them seeking more information. The scope of the book is wide, encompassing entirely everything involved in the business profession. The editing of the book was done to perfection, ensuring a good flow of events. Generally, there are no unappealing aspects to the book.

My rating of this book is five out of five stars. My justification for this is that the book is well written and edited. The writer was intentional in his writing, knowing exactly who the target audience was and how to effectively pass across the message via the literature. The summarization of the lessons at the end of the book is incredible. In addition to that, the book is broad in terms of the concerns addressed, cutting across almost everything in life and not only business. More so, the book is factual with a simple plot, making it easy to comprehend. The book's length is also reasonable and not exhausting to read.

In conclusion, Breaking the Mold: Remodeling Your Way to Success is an exemplary book with an exciting plot. For beginners in the business realm, this book will guide your navigation to peak professionalism, guaranteeing ultimate success.
