Ravens Peak is the first installment of three by Lincoln Cole. This is the first book that I have read by this author. The story was a pretty good read, it was fast paced and it kept me engaged throughout.

The main characters of the story are The Reverend whose name is Arthur, Abagail, and Haatim Arison.
The book is about the Hunters who are part of an organization called The Council of Chaldea, they are a multi-religious, multinational organization that protects the world from the supernatural.

Ravens Peak starts with a member of the Council, Frieda going to a prison to request the help of Arthur who for the last five years has voluntarily been imprisoned. She informs him that three children and three Hunters were missing and one of the missing people being his daughter Abagail.

Arthur travels to the location in the mountains to locate the missing children and Hunters. He finds two of the Hunters mutilated bodies and continues to search for his daughter Abagail, he finds her in an old church possessed by a demon and the children tied up. He gets the demon out of his daughter and the demon takes Arthur.

Five months later, there is Abagail following George and then George meeting Haatim in a library and hiring him to follow Abagail and to take photos of her because he heard him talking to a friend about needing to find employment. Abagail was following George as an assignment that was assigned by The Council, gathering and tracking information against The Ninth Circle, which is an organization that causes problems within the world and is comprised of psychopaths and demon worshippers.

Abagail eliminated George per her orders from The Council and The Ninth Circle was coming after Haatim for the photographs he had taken of Abagail. Abagail saved Haatim from the men who were after him after he fainted.

Ravens Peak is basically about Abagail trying to help Haatim and find Arthur it is a very interesting read and I enjoyed it. I am going to read all the books in the series to see what happens next. It was interesting to see Haatim learn new things in the world that he wasn’t aware were going on. Also learning that his father was a top member of the Council and viewing him in a different light. I enjoyed the friendship that developed between Abagail and Haatim and how they looked out for one another. I rate this book a 4 out of 4 stars.
