The Movie Chair by Shari Borkin is a heartwarming tale centred on a young, affectionate chair within a cinema, particularly enchanted by weekends and the presence of children. The story follows a classic movie chair in a theatre, embodying love and care for its young visitors, ultimately leading to a positive outcome in an unexpected turn of events. This chair provides comfort, shields children from frightening scenes, and embraces them while they enjoy a movie. It also has a playful habit of hiding coins for children to purchase snacks, occasionally causing mischief with its springs by gently poking rude adults who misbehave.

The reason I'm drawn to this book is because of the author's skilful use of colours and art to vividly illustrate the story, making it exceptionally engaging for children. I find immense enjoyment in reading this book because it touches the heart with its portrayal of emotions such as love, care, and protection through the character of the chair.

It's fascinating to see how the chair's affection for children becomes a key element in the red-headed boy's nostalgic recollection of his own past experiences. I would recommend this book to anyone seeking a heartwarming and insightful tale that resonates with both children and adults alike. The book was exceptionally well-edited and error-free.

The reason I don't dislike this book is because it serves as an invaluable tool for both children and parents seeking to impart important lessons about love, togetherness, and faith. Its emphasis on appreciating subtle, meaningful moments adds depth to the narrative, making it a powerful reminder of the strength found in faith.

I gave this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars because it beautifully captures the essence of childhood innocence and warmth. The story's portrayal of the affectionate chair, its protective nature towards children, and the lessons it imparts about love, care, and faith are both heartwarming and profound. The author's skilful use of colours and art enhances the storytelling, making it engaging for children and adults alike. Moreover, the book serves as a valuable tool for parents seeking to instil important values in their children.
