Ahmad and Rana Alyaseer, the authors, have done an amazing job in this book. I have loved there work right from the first page. Modern day relationships are facing a lot of challenges and changes and they have managed to creatively bring these out at its best. By adding works of the renowned musician, Adele, they have made the book even better and relatable. The choice of songs in every unfolding chapter was so in line with the thought, message and introduction to the next scene. They have used three different stories of people in different parts on the world and managed to maintain the direction. The stories have a flow that keeps you yearning for the next and a creative suspense. Though based on the Semitic culture in the simplest way, can be read and enjoyed by any other culture.
Nadia is a mother who has been divorced for eight years and is still fighting for hers and her sons, Waleed, freedom and happiness. Yaser and Mariam have been married for eight years and are struggling to rekindle the love they once had by the help of Doctor Brown. We have Elias who is trying to find answers to the questions he has been asking himself for eight years now since he last saw or heard from Malika. These three stories, although based in different parts of the world, share one thing in common; Adele’s company through music.
They are all looking forward to the Adele’s concert to be held in a few days for their various reasons; to rekindle lost love, to find their lost loved ones and to spend some quality time together. Through the twists and turns they all find what they are looking for and in ways no one expected.
