Book by: Gina Bianchini
Review
The book "Purpose" authored by Gina Bianchini is a concise guide that encourages readers to discover their life's purpose by harnessing the power of community. As the visionary behind 'Mighty Networks,' an online platform designed for creating virtual communities of like-minded individuals, Bianchini applies the community-building framework she developed throughout her career to guide readers in this book.
One outstanding feature of the book is its conversational writing style. It feels as though the author is speaking directly to the reader, making the content more relatable. This approach offers clear, step-by-step guidance, making it practical for readers to follow.
The principle of the book is that, in order to create a community of people who share your goals and actively collaborate to achieve them, you must first identify your own purpose and the path to achieving it. An appealing aspect of the book is its inclusion of real-life examples, offering tangible illustrations of people who have successfully found their purpose and built communities around it. This greatly enhances the book's practicality.
However, there are some noticeable flaws. The frequent use of phrases like "Later we will talk about..." throughout the book might be seen as overly repetitive. This might make sense considering the style of the book, however, it lowers the quality of the reading for the reader.
In summary, "Purpose" by Gina Bianchini provides valuable insights into the pursuit of one's life purpose and the art of building communities with shared objectives. This review offers a well-rounded perspective, allowing potential readers to weigh the book's merits and quirks.
I would rate this book 3 out of 4 as the book was written in a way that would make one want to read it more. It motivates you to experience life through a much better perspective and to find your purpose in life.
Out of 5, I would rate this book a solid 4. If you are looking for something to read which makes you ponder about your life but is not too heavy on reading, I would definitely recommend you to go ahead with this book. It is motivating but at the same time, is not boring at all, which a lot of books about life might feel like.
