The MISOGI Method by Jody B. Miller involves the author's personal story and one main idea that she wants to share with us, that is, to wake up the human essence of self-development and happiness we can all achieve. She guides us through her difficult moments in life, goals, decisions, and how she transformed herself with the help of an ancient Japanese purification ritual called MISOGI. She gives clear steps of this ritual from the start to the end of the book with a modern adaptation for a 21st-century life.

The primary purpose of the book is simple and encouraging. Here, the reader will find topics such as self-awareness, consciousness, acceptance, stress management, being brave when fighting adversity, a new understanding of personal life and beliefs, rethinking life and staying in an active mode when talking about self-development, identifying things, thought, and people that damage your life, and so on.

The book has a nice narrative that gets the reader's attention in the MISOGI Method and the author's story from the beginning. I give it a 5 out of 5 rating because the edition of the book is appealing, clean, and with a nice structure that divides the two parts of the book and its chapters in a comfortable way. The author grounds her ideas with easy and realistic exercises and questions for the reader to practice and get involved with. She gives real-life examples from wonderful people and opens up her personal life for us to find out how she worked out life's success. I don't have anything negative to say about the book, it is not a heavy reading, it has great structure and the way the reader can interact with it is excellent.

This book is for readers interested in trying an easy guide to get out of their comfort zone and have a refreshing insight into their personal life and awareness. It also has a second part where the reader can find the complete interviews highlighted in the book with excellent tips about public talk, commitment, and personal success.
