The Unbound Soul by Robert L. Haight is a non-fiction book about spirituality. The book focuses on the writer's personal experience with spiritual awakening and how he could pull through it and conquer his quest. The author also highlights the difficulties, struggles, and numerous challenges he faced in training his soul in meditation and martial arts and how he overcame them. The book also showed how determination can be the key to a successful quest. The author portrayed how determined and consistent he was in discovering his spiritual preference and how he could reach his goal and move on to impact other lives positively.

I would say the book is insightful, as it shows readers how they can discover more about spirituality. I found it excellent that the book encouraged readers to awaken their spirituality, work towards unconditional love, and, most importantly, overcome the illusion of negativity. Not only is the book a spiritual book, but he always found ways to care for the physical body through exercise and knowing the kind of food you eat to enable you to eat healthy. I enjoyed this part because self-care is necessary. I also enjoyed the part about caring for the mind, maintaining integrity, and standing up for what you believe in.

Despite the book being transformative and a self-help book that serves as a guide to those seeking enlightenment, at some point, I could hardly continue because the writer kept going back and forth. Also, I feel like not all readers will accept his view unless they are open-minded.

The book was articulate, and errors were not noticed. Also, every grammatical expression was observed, and as such, it was flawlessly edited. I would rate the book 4 out of 5 because it provides the personal experience of a man and provides more essential life lessons to teach his readers and enlighten them on ways to go about their spiritual lives and personal growth. I also did not give it a full rating because it became difficult to comprehend at some point. The writer used some terms that are not relatable, and I think most readers won't understand them.

I recommend this book, especially for readers interested in discovering more about their spirituality. People who seek spiritual enlightenment will find it helpful in many ways.
