Cyntha and Dan: Cyberwar by Dorothy May Mercer is a political and romantic suspense novel. This book has a fascinating storyline that can keep readers glued to the page. It primarily centers on terrorism and the detrimental effect it has on the world. This story begins with Cynthia Patterson and her brother Glenn Patterson, owner of Fairfax Private Investigators, planning on waging a cyberwar against terrorism in the United States of America.

Cynthia Patterson is a smart, beautiful woman doing well, managing a great job as Chief of Security and Bodyguard to Senator Mike McBride in Washington, D.C. She also poses as a receptionist, which she kept as cover in the process of handling all McBride's political dealings. Her boyfriend, Dan, a tall, handsome man who is also a police sergeant, is in love with Cynthia. But they were not genuinely In love with each other; the relationship lacked passion and was dull. On a fateful day for Cynthia, she bumped into Sky Eastman on her way to dinner with Dan after an incident around the house. Cynthia developed strong feelings for Sky after the two gave in to sexual attraction. Will Dan discover this new affair between Cynthia and Sky? Read this book to find out.

The author's style of writing was exceptional; it is fast-paced and action-packed. I loved how she was able to switch roles and scenes present in the story. Each chapter of the novel had full and exciting action from start to finish. The plot was well organized, and further depth of character development was shown in the storyline. The book was perfectly edited, and I didn't notice any grammatical errors.

What I disliked about the book was the explicit sex scenes, which truly caught me off guard. The book was too detailed in that aspect. The book had some level of profanity, and I disliked the sudden familiarity between Cynthia and Sky after the first time they met. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because of its romance, crime mystery, and cybertech.

I would gladly recommend this book to lovers of fictional science, romance, criminality, and those who would like to explore more in the cyber world of today.
