Review of A Dream For Peace
Dr. Ghoulem Berrah's book A Dream for Peace is a narrative of the author's personal journey, which is marked by hardship, love, endurance, loss, and success. Dr. Berrah wrote detailed descriptions of his professional achievements and the different measures he has taken to encourage unity and peace all through Africa.
Dr. Ghoulem is a doctor, an ambassador for revolution, and a man of the utmost ethical standards. Even though he originated in Algeria, the writer finds himself acting as President Houphout of Côte d'Ivoire's counselor and becoming more actively engaged in the nation's concerns than his own. He had the same desire as his close companion, the president of Côte d'Ivoire, as he longed to live in a world where there was peace, unity, and prosperity. As a result of this, he significantly played a role in resolving political issues in Africa and globally, which earned him honors. The time period covered by Berrah's storyline covers colonial times through total independence. This book is made more intriguing by the hardships that African activists went through, the leaders of Africa's efforts to bring stability to the continent, and the personal experiences of the writer, including love and loss.
I appreciate how this book is meticulously written about African history. It was really informative from my perspective. Beautiful images from many periods of history were included, which I thought was amazing and which eventually contributed significantly to the ultimate success of this book. I had some knowledge of Algeria's independence process through reading this book, so it was fascinating and educational to learn about it from the point of view of a participant. This book additionally familiarized me with the distinct cultures and culinary traditions of many different African countries.
There is nothing in this book that I dislike. From the captivating language and the remembered historical events to the rich depictions of all the politically involved and personal situations, I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were very few grammatical errors that did not distract me, which is proof that the book was professionally edited.
I give this book 5 out of 5 stars because it has honestly changed how I view how to handle challenges in life. It was easy to understand because the author's writing style was straightforward and informal. The book felt personalized thanks to the photos he added. Anyone looking for motivation to live a meaningful life should read this enlightening book, in my opinion. I'll also recommend that lovers of historical fiction read this book.
