I really loved this book and rate it a 4 out of 5. It is definitely thorough and clear. In the account of the author's own struggles and path to success, we can glean a lot about our own challenges and aspirations. It had some wonderful memorable lines among the nine principles. Reading it made me realize how important gratitude and journaling really are to thriving in life. We must take the time to do that. These things are relatively easy to do but hard to start especially with distractions and pressure for materialism. I think the biggest thing for me is remembering it could always be worse and we have choices to make that affect how a bad situation will go-improve or get worse. I so am inspired that he ran a marathon! What an accomplishment Life can be challenging for all of us at different points. It is so important to remember past successes to help keep a good mindset. We are all stronger than we think we are. Never give up! Always keep aspiring to learn and grow. When we change our mindset, do the difficult work, have a supportive system in place, we can achieve our goals. We must believe in investing in a better future.

I found the short chapters and interesting quotes at the beginnings of the chapter to be inspiring. It is definitely a book that can help someone be inspired to leave their old ways behind and make good changes for the better. Happiness is possible--not every moment of the day, but more often than not if we choose to be happy.
