Cynthia Patterson is in a situation because of her loyalty to Sergeant Dan, her boyfriend, and her deep attraction to Sky Eastman. Although she's not proud of it, Cynthia had an affair with Sky and now has to cope with the consequences of her betrayal. Despite the strain in her personal life, Cynthia found solace and fulfillment in her career as Chief Security Officer for Senator Mike McBride. She could concentrate her efforts on stopping cyberterrorism and making a big difference in the world because of her dedication to her work and her collaboration with her brother Glenn and two IT experts. She was content with her ability to fend off online attacks and proud of her successes. However, Cynthia's love life complications kept getting in the way of her efforts to control their union. She had to choose between staying in her long-term relationship with Dan, which was secure and comfortable, and venturing out with Sky, who had captured her in ways she had never been.

This novel's plotline is captivating. I found it fascinating because the drone incident was based on a real-life incident that happened at the White House. The book is action-packed with a dash of crime mystery and romantic suspense. The author excellently delivers the suspense and plot twists. The cyberterrorism aspect of the book was also very enlightening and informative.

Cynthia and Dan: Cyber War is only enjoyable on a surface level because it lacks character development and depth. The story flow was difficult to follow due to how unrealistic some scenes were. A grown woman who is supposed to be head of security abandoning her car with the key to follow a random stranger on a date is very unrealistic.

I will rate Cynthia and Dan: Cyber War by Dorothy May Mercer 5 out of 5 stars. Although the characters needed a little more development and depth, the plot delivery and inclusion of various genres were flawless, and the editorial aspect of this book was exceptional. I found no errors.

I recommend this book to people who like dramatic romance and mysteries. It includes violence and sexual content, so it's unsuitable for underage readers.
