The book ''Zona: The Forbidden Land", written by Fred G. Baker, is an enthralling and exciting adventure into a land of mystery and wonder. Fred G. Baker's vivid storytelling and imaginative world-building combine to create a thrilling reading experience that keeps readers on the edge of their seats.

The protagonist of this book is Dr. Grant Taylor, who made it his mission to learn the truth behind his uncle's disappearance. According to his uncle's will, he was to inherit his uncle Randall's assets. While in Russia, Grant Taylor, who had made the decision to move into his uncle's home, met a guy who claimed to be aware of the circumstances behind his uncle's disappearance.

Randall, the uncle of Dr. Grant, is the leader of a team of scientists that go to various parts of the world to do field research on wild plants and animals. However, Randall vanished during their tour of the forbidden land close to Siberia, and despite all attempts by the government and private detectives, they were unable to locate him.

Despite all the impassable challenges, Grant's unrelenting will to locate his uncle greatly motivated me. The novel does a good job of balancing the more complex subjects of family relationships, attachment, and human nature with action, excitement, and intrigue. Each character is expertly brought to life by the author, who successfully makes them relatable and likeable. Their development and emotional journey have a significant impact as the novel progresses, bringing readers more into the plot.

The book was well written and excellently edited as well, but I found minor sexual contents and a few profanities in it. This makes it unsuitable for young readers. The book has earned a 4 out of 5 star rating, and I didn't spot any typographical or grammatical errors in it. I recommend it to those who love mystical adventures.
