# Volume 1

Gnomes Homes Coloring Book Volume 1 is a new take on coloring books, including inspirational quotes and as well as gnome home themed coloring pages. The book features quotes on the left side and coloring pages on the right side, providing one quote for each coloring page. Overall I would rate this book a 3 out of 5.

Being that the primary purpose of this book is to be a coloring book, that aspect fell short on a few details. The images of the coloring pages were very creative in theme and very detailed, which made them fun to color. Unfortunately they did fall short in quality due to the fact that they were blurry. Improving the sharpness of the images will improve the coloring experience so much because many of the coloring images were very detailed and the blurriness made it difficult to color them. For this reason, I deducted 1.5 stars. The quality of the page paper was fairly good. I didn’t experience any ripping while using coloring pencils, but markers do bleed through the pages.

One of my favorite features of the book were the quotes. The quotes, found on the left side of every page, all surrounded around the themes of positivity, motivational, taking action, perseverance, etc. I noticed that some were quotes well-known to me. Specifically, one of my favorite quotes by Winston Churchill was included. I personally would’ve loved to see credit being given to the original author of the quote. This would allow those who take a particular liking to a quote to know the author. For this reason, I deducted .5 stars. Aside from that small detail in regards to the quotes, the editing for this coloring book was spectacular; I did not encounter any typos.

Overall this coloring book is a great start with an interesting theme and amazing quotes, but could use some major improvements of picture quality.
