Nick Shuman is a property attorney about to receive a case that will turn his world upside down. The individual that will bring chaos to Nick’s life is Fatima Carruthers. She represents The Foundation which is going through a property dispute with another group called The Society. Fatima seeks out Nick and hires him to represent The Foundation. Nick is the only person who notices the strange things that are happening. When it starts to scare him, he seeks out Victor, the attorney that worked for The Foundation the last time The Foundation had the same property dispute 40 years earlier with The Society. Victor was one of the best property attorneys when he was representing The Foundation. He was a family man with many good things going for him. It was a real shock when Nick tracks down Victor to a house that is owned by Victor’s son, he tells Nick that he has not talked to his father in a long time and gives him the address where Nick can find Victor. In Quantum Terra Nick Shuman’s journey starts here. As he embarks on an adventure through multiple realities discovering the secrets of the creation of the universe.

The story's plot could have been complicated but Kirk Marty provides excellent explanations and examples that are simple and clear. This guides the reader nicely through the story’s ideas about parallel universes. It has the feeling of watching a law show, this writing style helped me picture a lot of the scenes and matched our protagonist’s persona.

The pace of the novel was slow. I feel this is due to the repetition of information throughout the book. As well, some of the descriptive paragraphs were long and I felt were irrelevant to the story.

This plot about alternate realities is extraordinary as our protagonist Nick uncovers secrets about the human race and the reason for its existence. The pace of the story was slow that being one of the reasons I rate it 2 out of 5. It could go through more editing as I deducted a whole star on the typos. The foundation of this story is very interesting and the information is delivered extremely well.

Because of the profanity, I would recommend this book to a mature audience. Specifically, those that enjoy shows about lawyers fighting the system. This law story has a dash of X-Files to it, giving it an abnormal style. This book is based on alternative realities and for some readers, some of the information can be a little dry.
