Liz D. Marx is the author of the book The Binding Stone: The Raven's Trail. This novel is a fantastic romantic thriller with a compelling plot. It is the second book of The Raven's Trail. The characters have grown much since the first novel, resulting in an unexpected plot.

Every single one of them was chasing this stone for different reasons. In Fosters's eyes, the person holding it was more important than the held. However, Chloe and Mason, who were in a relationship, had different motivations for wanting the stone because of their respective experiences. Pamela wanted the stone for money, whilst Chloe's team required the stone for information to free Mason from an immortal curse. However, because of the horrifying battle in the Manataka Cave, Pamela made the extremely risky decision to leave her team and form new plans with stone. Different events occurred throughout the book as they attempt to complete their tasks using the magical stone.

I enjoyed the book's narration style. Both the plot and the characters had a good place. Despite being a work of fiction, the characters in this book were highly recognizable. The author illustrates both the advantageous and adverse consequences of magic. Reading was incredible; more like experiencing a motion picture than reading. The book featured humour, detailed descriptions, and other features that helped lighten the tone. The narrative takes many unexpected turns, making it impossible for the reader to predict what will happen next. I was really engrossed in the tale because there was tension in virtually every chapter. I found it hard to put the book down since following Foster and Pamela's love story and their mission with the Binding Stone was so exciting. The story was wrapped up in an intriguing way by the author. I adore the author's depiction of a magical realm and gods.

I want to congratulate the author on a job well done. I didn't see any spelling or grammar flaws in the book. This gave me the impression that the book had been carefully prepared and edited. Having said that, I will rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

I recommend this book to all the readers who love romance, history and fantasy. I advise adult readers to read the book because it contains strong language.
