Reconfigurement by E. Alan Fleischer is a self-help non-fiction book that emphasizes the importance of planning for retirement at any stage of one’s life. He talks about how many individuals do not plan for retirement until they realize they are of retirement age and often feel helpless about their situation. He talks about how this often puts individuals at risk for having unsuccessful and unstable futures. The author gives readers specific financial strategies to devise their retirement plans and plan for a more financially secure future.

I like that the author describes each element of financial planning in detailed and simple terms that are easy to understand. Also, I like that he gives several different strategies, since not everything works for everyone. He gives several financial strategies that the readers can personalize to their needs. I also liked how the author included many questions and assessments at the end of the book, as they were very engaging. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the author included additional links and resources to help readers learn more.

Honestly, there was nothing that I did not like about the book. I thought that it was very insightful, and anyone interested in learning more about finances should read this book.

I would rate this book 5 out of 5 stars for the reasons I stated above. There were no instances of profanity or sexual content, and I did not note any errors in the writing, a testament to the exceptionally professional editing of the book.

The author states that he recommends the book for an older audience. However, I would recommend this book to anyone who is thinking about starting a new career, anyone who is thinking about switching careers, those seeking guidance with planning a successful future, and readers interested in growing financially secure, regardless of their age.
