Final Notice by Van Fleisher is a thrilling science fiction book about Vince and Trudi Fuller, who live together in California with their dog. They are retired, married, and very elderly, but they still live together and are enjoying the rest of their days together. Earlier today, he watched on television that elderly people are now allowed to carry firearms in order to defend themselves against attacks, as there was a shooting that occurred in an elderly home and lives were lost. This brought about mixed reactions and thoughts as we started wondering how he would have reacted or what might have happened if what took place happened to him and he had a gun, as he was also assaulted by a younger man earlier that day.

The author talks about a scientist whose name is Vijay Patel; he created a powerful watch that was capable of telling you when you were going to die. The watch will inform you thirty days before it happens, and the watch will give you a final notice. With the new legalization of firearms and knowing you have thirty days to live, why won’t you risk your life or kill people who you know you have disdain for? When you know you're going to die soon anyway.

I like how this book touches on the reason why nature chose to make death come to us at an unknown time, as we will act differently when we have limited time to live. I also like how the author made the characters very clear and distinguishable with beautiful character development.

The book was exceptionally edited, as I found no notable errors, and there is nothing I did not like about the book. The author combined humor and a little bit of romance into this suspenseful book.

I will be giving this book five out of five stars. I will recommend this book to young adults who wish to be entertained while learning a thing or two.
