Have you ever wondered how people fared when wars were fought? Wild World by Peter S. Rush takes readers on an adventure filled with action, mystery, and romance.

Steve arrives on campus and is shocked when he is greeted with chaos. The students at Kent State University were attacked at a protest. He goes home to his girlfriend, Roxy, and finds her crying. He consoles her, and they agree to go to the protest being held at their school, Brown University. After the protest, Steve begins to question himself. He wants to have a direct impact on society. What does he do next?

I like how Steve was determined to make a change in society. He was patriotic, and this led him to change his career choice. He was my favorite character. He displayed qualities I like, such as honesty, diligence, patriotism, and selflessness. I like that the students protested against the war. Wars should be avoided when they can. There are no winners, as lives, properties, and resources are lost on both sides.

I disliked how Roxy's mother treated Steve. She was condescending and felt her daughter was too good for Steve. The author did a terrible job portraying the romantic relationship between Roxy and Steve. I felt the relationship was toxic for Steve. He allowed her to influence all his decisions. In society, being honest is often seen as a crime. Being honest in a world full of dishonest people is never going to be easy.

Due to the dislikes mentioned above, I give this book a rating of 4 out of 5 stars. It was a well-written story. I found no errors in the book, which indicates that it was well-edited. For a country to succeed, its citizens must be patriotic. Steve is an example of one man being able to influence change in a corrupt system. Change begins individually. I recommend this book to those who love books about history, romance, and drama.
