Michelle Cummings' book The Reel Sisters is a great example of a novel with a purpose—to show how friendship, leisure, and self-realization can all contribute to personal growth. The narrative of five women—young and old—from all walks of life who become friends is told in the book. The names of these women are Melody, Veronica, Amanda, Rose, and Sophie. The beginning of their friendship was a chance encounter between Sophie and Rose in a shop.

Amanda is worried about how she would manage to become a mother while her husband is traveling overseas. She teaches elementary school as well. She enjoyed going out with the other women to unwind after a tough week. Veronica is a successful businesswoman who runs a mentoring program for young women. Melody enjoys capturing pictures and sharing them on her social media accounts.

Anyone who reads this book will, in my opinion, be astonished by its superb plot, which flows easily and has turns and twists in virtually every paragraph. The writing was also quite well done, and it clearly shows the author's talent. Fly fishing quotes at the start of each section are another feature of this book that I think you'll enjoy. I loved this aspect of the novel the most.

As I took the time to read this book cover to cover, I have a thorough grasp of it. The book's cover was unique and beautifully crafted. Although the title seemed a little controversial, I was able to interpret it and apply it to the narrative. The dialogue utilized by the author helped the narrative flow and made it fun to read. In addition to dialogue, the author wrote this endearing book from both the first-person and third-person perspectives. Short stories that are easy to read and relate to each other make up the book's sections.

The discussion questions at the book's back were another endearing feature that I loved. The questions were well-chosen and beneficial for understanding the book. The characters were likable and well-developed. I adored every main character just as much (Sophie, Rose, Veronika, Amanda, and Melody). There was not a single aspect of this book that I disliked. About 429 pages make up the book. The story, as was already noted, was fascinating and incredibly enjoyable to read.

The 429 pages I read contained no errors. So, a professional editor was used to edit this work. I gave this book a score of 5 out of 5 stars. This is because it was faultless, captivating, and superbly written. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy reading books about women's empowerment. I would also suggest it to anyone who enjoys engaging in fictional stories. If you decide to read this book, I can guarantee that it will have you on the edge of your seat.
